NGC3628 a Spiral Galaxy
This is an elongated, pencil slim spiral galaxy in the constellation of Leo the Lion.
I shot this photo through a Celestron 8 inch telescope on a Paramount ME mount. The camera was a SBIG 2000 cooled CCD camera shooting at -25C. The image was made from a stack of 4 each red, green and blue filtered 5 minute shots and 12 unfiltered 5 minute shots. The images were stacked and processed in MaxIM DL with final processing in Photoshop.
